More than just a delightful place

Buttrio is a land of history and excellence, filled with winemaking tradition, so much so that it is counted among the Wine Cities and is part of the regional project “Wine and Flavors Roads of Friuli Venezia Giulia”. Buttrio is also the cradle of Italy’s oldest wine fair. It is here that the Museum of Wine Civilization was established, soon to become the Regional Museum of Wine Civilization of Friuli Venezia Giulia.

The Museum of Wine Civilization in Buttrio is located inside the Villa of Toppo-Florio, an elegant residence from the early 18th century.

The Villa, in turn, is situated within an extraordinary park of significant archaeological, botanical, and artistic interest, with contemporary art pieces integrated into a space that stretches from the hills to the road leading to Manzano.
